Wednesday 7:15 p.m.
Just got back from Mr Akrams, the local grocer. Here's what you get for £5:75 around these parts.
1 turnip
1 leek
4 carrots
4 tatties
1 head of broccoli (big)
4 onions
2 500g packets of lentils (these cost 99p each)
So it's about £3.80 for the veggies. That would probably make three pots of soup; easily a week's supply. Just add spices.

That my friend is going to be some serious soup. Death in a pot for me, but I have issues with food. Especially vegs.
I recommend a good addition of garlic and a bit of chili powder to give it some zing.
Marie: I made the soup last night and it is delicious. There is indeed some garlic in it, plus tomato puree, cumin, coriander, curry powder, tumeric, salt and pepper! That's just random spices. I'll try some chili powder next time! I love meat. I don't eat it, but I do love the taste. Hotboy
I say!
Doviko adds tomatoes to most dishes. I fully recommend this policy.

Mining'! There supposed to be something good for you in tomatoes, but I can't remember what. The tomatoes probably! Hotboy
We're indeed fortunate you're in charge of Duneditin catering. Do we bring our own meat, like for an Aussie BBQ?
At current exchange rates the ingredients would be about 20% cheaper here. Why live there?
PS can they leave out the tomatoes from my portion? I'm a Macrobiot.
PPS There's something good for you in everything, not just tomatoes. Anything that doesn't kill you.
Albert? Everyone refuses to eat my soup. It looks like brown gloop. You'll like it if you're given the blindfold and the nose plugs first! They would help. Hotboy
Don't worry, I was already planning to bring noseplugs for when the soup reaches the other end. Earplugs too for that matter.
